Size No 5 (without coordinates) walnut/maple with black frame

This exclusive No. 5 chessboard combines walnut and maple inlay with a black frame and a 48 × 48 cm playing area, giving you a clean board for standard chess play.

The 50 × 50 mm squares make it suitable for Staunton No. 5 pieces and imported chess pieces in the 3.5-inch size. It also pairs well with German (Timeless) pieces in 3.5", creating a setup close to the boards used in major chess events, just in a slightly smaller format.

The board is double lacquered, and the black border frame clearly separates the playing area from the outer edges. Four felt pads on the underside help keep it steady on a table, desk or any other hard, level surface.

Most tournament chessboards use square sizes in the 50 to 58 mm range. Other chessboards shown in the photos are not included in the offer and can be purchased separately in our chess shop.
