This American Classic Staunton Gold No. 4 is a folding wooden tournament chess set with classic Staunton-style pieces, made for regular play and easy storage. The weighted pieces sit comfortably in the hand, while the felt bases and tournament proportions make the set practical for everyday games and training.
The set includes 34 pieces, including extra queens for pawn promotion. The pieces are made from boxwood and Indian acacia, and the king stands 79 mm tall with a 34 mm base diameter. A felt-lined insert inside the case keeps the pieces neatly stored between games.
